You are looking at the interior of the Jakel Tumble Mixer
from the rear. Product enters the mixing drum through the intake hopper (dark blue) at the
top front of the mixer. Spirals and cross chutes (silver) revolving with the drum provide
the superior blending action. Scoops (yellow) dump the product from the drum into the
discharge hopper (red) which directs it into the front turbine. The turbine lifts the
product to the top exterior discharge chute in the front of the mixer. If the slide is
closed on the exterior discharge chute the product re-enters the mixing drum through the
intake hopper (dark blue). |
| A liquid Pre-Blender is available built into the front of
the Mixer. Liquid is blended with a portion of the product. It is then
returned to the main drum to mix with the rest of the batch. 10 HP is required to
operate the Pre-Blender. The Model LB Liquid Pre-Blender is shown at right with the
cover removed. It is designed for the addition of up to 12% liquid. |
